Digital research repository arXiv to start new chapter as nonprofit

arXiv will leave Cornell July 1 to become an independent nonprofit . The platform, which came to Cornell in 2001 with founder Paul Ginsparg, physics professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, now exceeds 3 million research submissions.
